Hernandarias’ Coat of Arms |
Not for humble or small HERNANDARIAS, a village located in the province of Entre Rios, shall have no Coat of Arms of its own.
Hernandarias’ Coat of Arms is divided in two. On the top section, it has the Coat of Arms of the Sanabria family, from Extremadura, Spain. On the lower section, Saavedra's Coat of Arms.
A mural crown is included in Hernandarias’ Coat of Arms because the Sanabria and the Saavedra families were predecessors of Hernan Arias de Saavedra. The name of the village, Hernandarias, is a fusion of the name and first last name of Hernan Arias de Saavedra.

Family initials in the Coat of Arms |
Hernan Arias de Saavedra inherited the lands of Villa Hernandarias from Juan de Garay, to whom he was related, and who had been the founder of Santa Fe and Buenos Aires cities.
When settling in these lands, he brought the first cattle, to which the almost petrified cattle forehead kept by Alberto Trulls in his store belongs.
Alberto Trulls is also a collector of archaeological findings, keeping a vertebra and an eye-tooth from the same time in his store.
Alberto Trulls’ store was the first store and bank of the region.
The brooms found in the store are made by a craftsman of Hernandarias Village. They are very effective, although a little heavier than the more industrialized ones.
In another corner, “curiyu” and “yarara” leathers hang close to a “peludo” and a “mulita”, as part of the history passionately preserved by Alberto Trulls in his store.
Hernandarias stories, full of events and memories like the ones described above are preserved in its museum-store.
